The Industrial Innovation Centre (IIC), Daffodil International University (DIU) conducted a field visit to a litchi garden at Paragram, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka, as part of its ongoing Beekeeping and Honey Production Project. The visit was organized to facilitate apiary migration activities and observe the practical process of relocating bee colonies to suitable floral environments for sustainable honey production.

Apiary migration is an important practice in modern beekeeping, where bee colonies are transferred to locations with abundant flowering plants to improve honey yield and maintain bee colony health. The litchi flowering season provides an excellent opportunity for producing high-quality litchi honey while supporting natural pollination and sustainable agricultural practices.

During the visit, the team observed the field-level implementation of apiary migration, including the placement and management of bee colonies in the litchi orchard environment. The activity highlighted the importance of scientific beekeeping methods, proper colony management, and collaboration between agricultural experts and industry stakeholders.
